How does one attract an AOP to come close to an ETP?
- Put out bait, such as a programmed sequence of light signals.
- An active approach that is not considered Low Observable.
- Have a rapid deployment team ready to set up an ETP in a new area.
- Has logistics challenges but workable if report is < 24 hours old.
- Monitor areas where AOP sightings are current or ongoing.
- Good a place as any to set up an ETP if the phenomenon repeats.
- Instrument humans and put them out in the field with the ETP
- Single-blind experiment to quantitatively measure “human factor”.
- Deploy many ETP around the world in hopes of catching something.
- Requires reliable funding, patience, and managing many platforms.
If the ETP is designed to be “Low Observable”, and AOP sightings are random and unpredictable, what strategies can be used to get detection hits and close encounters?
