Grandma's Pumpkin Pie Recipe
This has to be the most tasty and easiest pumpkin pie recipe I've ever made! It has been used by my family for years! Interestingly, most sweet potato pie recipes taste different, and not always as good as pumpkin, but this is the only recipe for pumpkin pie that you can use cooked/boiled mashed sweet potato in place of the pumpkin and it will still taste exactly like pumpkin pie!
MIX TOGETHER:
1 standard sized can of pumpkin
1 cup sugar
3/4 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
3/4 tsp allspice
ADD & STIR:
4 slightly beaten eggs
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1 3/4 cup milk
POUR INTO 2 UNBAKED 9" DEEP DISH PASTRY SHELLS
BAKE AT 400 DEGREES F FOR 50 MINS (or until butter knife inserted almost near center comes out clean)
